Panopticon (noun)

Term derived from 18th century philosophy that describes an architectural model of prison designed in such a way that a single central observer can monitor all prisoners without them being able to determine whether they are being observed. This structure is designed to create an environment of constant and omnipresent surveillance, influencing the behavior of prisoners.
